I am miffed. I have been counting down the weeks to this one. I set my newly acquired DVR to record my shows. Ugly Betty, The office, and ER. I ended up not having to record them, so I settle in to watch 3 hours of tv, and low and behold......the screen is pink. PINK! Why in this digital and technological world can we not watch basic tv. I don't have rabbit ears to deal with. THere wasn't a thunder storm. SO what could have been the problem? I just don't know. Hopefully I will get an explanation. Anyways. I know I can watch them on the net tomorrow, but I am spoiled and don't want to wait because then my toddler will want to watch little einsteins at the same time! Oh well. such is life.
Here are some pics from our week.
G took this while I was at work. she didn't take her hat off all night!
The kiddies kept lining up at the door and racing each other through the house
we tore out everything in out planter area in our front yard, put in more sprinklers and new plants. Jill loved being out working with us. She loved the garden gloves. Was putting them on and off all day long!

Sunny days.....
This girl loves the park, but her mommy is nervous around the play equipment. So we just stick to the slides and swings. When Dad is around, he teaches her to be adventurous, much to Mommy's dismay.
Can I just tell you how great the bed transition has been. She just loves it! Today I heard her awake in there around 8, she played with trucks and looked at books until 9, still just sitting on her bed! Amazing. What a good girl!
Reece and Garrett come over for a while the other day. I heard someone playing on the piano, I came in to find this. How cute!
Watching her cougars demolish UCLA!

Big Girl Bed
We bought Jill her big girl bed last week, and ooh how she loves it. She wasn't sleeping through the night, so we decided she needed a change (and mommy wanted to spend her summer school paycheck!) So she has been in it for 5 nights and all is going extremely well. (knock on wood) As you can see even Daddy loves it. It is nice to have a place to lay when you are reading books.

Monday Memories
When I was little my Grandparents had the only VCR around seems like, and my cousins and I wore it out watching The Wizard of Oz, The Slipper and the Rose (Cinderella), and Nadia. We would love to play that we were gymnasts just like Nadia. Once in a while I search for this movie, and I finally found it. Now I hear that it has been out for a while, I just looked in the wrong places. I watched it again today while Jill was taking her nap. It is amazing how I remember the words, the music, and the sweet feeling as she got her perfect 10! It has probably been 20 years since I have watched it. It was a lovely, memorable afternoon.
