Gary got back from deer hunting, without a deer. But had a great time. We sure missed him, but had fun doing girly things, like shopping and chick-flicks. Today has been crazy busy for us. We had music class, then to the park. Then we went to a pumpkin patch and it was so hot! Jill had these great pink cheeks going on. The Healy's and Riley's went too. So much fun! Jill loved the cows. We both came home and took a nap, then went out to eat with Grandma and Grandpa McAndrews and Uncle Scott. Jill wasn't much for sitting still tonight so we went to the park next to the restaurant while everyone else ate. Then we went to get ice cream! Yum! Now we are ready for bed.
Resting on the pumpkins
Feeding the baby cow
Hiding in the hay maze
Smiling for the camera and it didn't take in time because she was already on the move.
Gary/Daddy's tent and camp spot outside Craig, CO. They had a great time. They are already talking about next year.

Camera-less

My husband is on his yearly hunting trip with my camera. In the 24 hours he has been gone, I have had several photo-ops, but no camera. Sad. I just need to chronicle them in writing.
Today Gary called so say he had arrived, and I asked Jill to say "Hi Dad." And out came Hi Dad crystal clear. For those on the inside know that our little Bean has a language of her own. So I was astonished. And when our conversation was done, I again asked, Say goodbye to Daddy, and out came "Bye Dad" and then she proceeded to kiss the phone! Pure Sweetness. This little girl is in love with her Dad. Dad scored huge points when little while later, there was a flower delivery with a balloon (for our Ba-oon addict) from our Daddy/my love. So thoughtful. Dad/G-man, we hope you enjoy your much needed vacation and hope you fill our freezer for the winter. We love you so much.

life......
I have a cold and I can't sleep. Weird. So I am up on the computer blogging. After a wonderful conference weekend, I am basking in the spirit of inspiration to improve, remember and be more grateful. I am grateful for my family, a roof over my head, food in my cupboards. I am grateful to be a member of the CHurch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Tonight I was feeling pretty miserable and little J was throwing a fit. She has been impossible all day. Everything was "no!" Do you want to play with your barn.... no. Do you want a cracker..... no! Do you want to sit with Daddy .... no. So as I was running out of things to ask, I was flipping through the channels and there was my deliverance..... the 1982 edition of Annie. We have watched it a time or two before, but not like this. She was up and dancing, trying to sing, and so happy watching these little girls dance, hang from banisters and jump on beds. I was so excited to see her interest. Whenever I think of Annie, I think of my friend Shelly (who now is my sister-in- law.) We used to dress up, dance and sing all day to our record on our fisher-price record player. I remember selling "tickets" to our show using our clothes hamper as the ticket booth. And putting on our show in my living room. Such fun memories. Hopefully Jill will love it as much as her aunt and I do.
Another funny thing. Jill always asks "what was that?" when she hears something like the garbage disposal or a car pass by. On Saturday as Katie and I and the kiddies were yard sale-ing ,we heard the train whistle blow. Jill asks "what was that, a choo choo." I guess we have moved on to questioning and answering all in the same breath.
I asked Jill to smile for the pic, and this is what I got.
We were saying our prayers the other night and this is what she looked like, I had to say, let's say them again, just so I could get a pic of this.
Daddy and Jill cooking a meal in the Dutch oven, getting it ready for the hunting trip
Jill decided that her doll bed was good enough for her.
Happy Monday!

miffed
I am miffed. I have been counting down the weeks to this one. I set my newly acquired DVR to record my shows. Ugly Betty, The office, and ER. I ended up not having to record them, so I settle in to watch 3 hours of tv, and low and behold......the screen is pink. PINK! Why in this digital and technological world can we not watch basic tv. I don't have rabbit ears to deal with. THere wasn't a thunder storm. SO what could have been the problem? I just don't know. Hopefully I will get an explanation. Anyways. I know I can watch them on the net tomorrow, but I am spoiled and don't want to wait because then my toddler will want to watch little einsteins at the same time! Oh well. such is life.
Here are some pics from our week.
G took this while I was at work. she didn't take her hat off all night!
The kiddies kept lining up at the door and racing each other through the house
we tore out everything in out planter area in our front yard, put in more sprinklers and new plants. Jill loved being out working with us. She loved the garden gloves. Was putting them on and off all day long!
