Our little girl

Our sweet little girl loves trucks, cars and trains.  That is all she plays with.  That is the first things she plays with at Grandma Gayle's house and at Grandma Terry's house, then after a while, she plays with the GeoTrax sets that Grandma Gayle has.  All along we have been trying to encourage playing with dolls, Barbies, etc.  To no avail.  She loves her shopping cart, her baby stroller, but she just uses them to transport her trucks and cars.  It is soo cute.  We love it, yet we have not bought her any boy toys so as to encourage the girl toys.  Well we finally broke down and bought her a train set.  After a few days with the train set,  well you can see for yourself ...... our little girl has discovered her dollies.   So sweet!

Sickness......

As my sister was saying to me......We take our health for granted until we are sick.  And is this ever true.

Jill and I have been sick for most of the week.  Jill has had a cough and runny nose, while I have had a fever, aches, chills, runny nose, plugged ears, sore throat....need I go on?  Anyways, So mid week I start to feel better, spend a couple of hours in the yard and garden, and guess what, it is back with a vengeance.  Gary and my mom finally convinced me to go to the doctor, I didn't want to go cause they would just tell me to take a lot of fluids and rest.  And that is exactly what they told me.  Yet they did give me some cough syrup.  Did I mention that symptom above?  Nope I didn't,  I had a little cough last week, but it is gone.  So I am out a co-pay and have cough medicine for a cough I don't have.  Lovely.  So hear we sit on a Saturday afternoon, still sick, feeling sorry for ourselves and missing Gary/Daddy because he is working.   So I think we will have ice cream for a snack, and watch some movies and relax.  Isn't being sick great?

30 Rock

I have recently been watching the first season of 30 Rock, thanks to Netflix.  I watched a couple episodes when it was originally on, but never got into it.  But I have totally fallen for Tina Fey, especially when she was on SNL, so I thought I would give this show a try.  And I love it.  I am convinced why they won the Emmy now.  Though I love The Office, I am now a promoter for 30 Rock.  Readers, check it out!
